Fichi Ripieni Di Gorgonzola Dolce & Noci
Figs Stuffed with Gorgonzola Dolce & Walnuts
Serves 4
Ingredients:
12 Black or Mission Figs
3 ounces of Gorgonzola Dolce
12 large walnut pieces, lightly toasted
Assorted fig Leaves (optional)
1-Clean the figs with a damp paper towel, pat dry.Trim the top with a paring knife to remove the tough portion (Stem)- You might have to trim the bottom of the fig, so it sits up straight.
2-Using the pairing knife, cut a cross in the top of the fig going about halfway down.
3-Insert a piece of toasted walnut first; follow by a bit of the Gorgonzola Dolce. Partially close the top of the fig gently and place the figs on a serving plate.
