Sauce for Asian Dumplings
Ingredients
2 1/2 T Soy Sauce low sodium ( Tamari )
1 1/2 T water
1 t sugar
1 t toasted sesame seeds
2 t rice vinegar
1 t dark (toasted ) sesame oil
In a small bowl, combine all the above ingredients, add the sesame seeds last and whisk until totally combined - store in refrigerate until ready to use
This recipe can be double, tripled if wanted. Also you an add some sliced green onions.
Chinese Hot Mustard
Ingredients
2 T mustard powder
1/4 t salt
1/4 t white pepper
3 T hot water
1 t vegetable oil
1 t rice vinegar
Add the dry ingredients in a small bowl,; add the hot water and whisk until smooth then add the vegetable oil and rice vinegar, blend until smooth; cover and store in the refrigerator until you are going to use it.
Also this recipe can be double etc.
Chef Notes: These sauces can be used fo all kinds of dumplings, egg roles etc that you can buy in your local supermarkets and health food stores.
