Burrata Cheese is soft cow's milk cheese that, from the outside, could be mistaken for fresh Mozzarella. Both are plump round orbs. Burrata cheese is distinguishable by its loose texture, soft cheese curds and cream that are combined inside an outer shell made of mozzarella. This comes from the Puglia region of Italy.
Chefs Note: For this recipe I found Pita Bread works beautifully for a one person pizza. Of course, if you are having 2 or 3 people for dinner, then use one pita bread for each guess.
One Pizza ingredients ( of course, just double or triple the ingredients)
Ingredients
1 store bought Pita Bread
3 tablespoons of pizza sauce, or you own tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoons of Italian seasonings
2- 3 ounces of burrata cheese
2 slices of Prosciutto, torn apart into small pieces
red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
-Place the pita bread on a cookie sheet
-Brush the bread with a little olive oil, then spread the pizza sauce almost to the edges of the pita bread.
-Tear apart the burrata cheese, it is very soft and wet, let it sit in a small strainer; than divide it on top of the tomato sauce; then divide the prosciutto on top of the cheese.
-Sprinkle the red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese
-Set the cookie sheet on the oven's middle rack, then bake for 10 to 14 minutes.
